The Scenario-based Engineering Process (SEP) is a 3-step system development methodology ideally suited to complex programs with multiple users. In step 1, SEP employs knowledge acquisition sessions with shareholders to develop scenarios of use to define high level system requirements. These scenarios form the basis for step 2 activities during which a detailed architectural application design, updated system requirements, and prototypes of critical system functions are developed. Step 3 concludes the process with the development and implementation of a fully functional prototype system. Each step produces well-defined outputs and results that are used as inputs to the next step.

Scenario-based Engineering Process
SEP focuses on the user community, continually sharing information and receiving feedback throughout the analysis and development processes. Keeping the users involved ensures that the final product meets their needs and has their acceptance.
ScenPro specializes in applying the SEP methodology to technology initiatives that focus on meeting the needs of the end-user community. ScenPro has successfully applied SEP to numerous large and small-scale research and development and software engineering efforts.
