ScenPro uses Unified Modeling Language (UML) tools such as Rational Rose and Enterprise Architect™ to model healthcare domains, including cancer clinical trials. Beginning with use cases verified by domain experts, ScenPro analysts extract concepts and relationships to form objects and their associations. These objects and associations, represented in object models and other UML artifacts, support development of object-oriented software applications. Compatibility with other models and information in the domain is a key feature of ScenPro’s modeling efforts. The National Cancer Institute Center for Bioinformatics is currently implementing our Clinical Trials Object Model to deliver clinical trials data to cancer researchers.
